After a few days with our feet up and a brew in hand, we’re finally catching our breath after an absolutely brilliant — and brilliantly busy — night at Romiley Food on Friday! A huge thank you to our fantastic stall holders, Red Rock Trio for keeping us entertained, our unbelievable volunteers who make the magic happen, and every single person who came along and made it such a cracking evening.

Keep your eyes peeled on Romiley - What's On for news about our next event in August — our fabulous ’80s/’90s music night. Dust off those dancing shoes!

And finally, a quick shout-out and a little favour to ask. Events like this don’t happen by magic — although our volunteers come pretty close! They do cost money, and they simply wouldn’t be possible without the continued support of our wonderful sponsors. They’re all independent local businesses who genuinely care about our village, so if you can use their services, please do. If not, giving their social media pages a follow, like or share would still be a massive help. And if you do use them, please give us a mention too — it helps us show them just how much their support means… and gives us a cheeky excuse to ask them nicely for sponsorship again next year!

Our wonderful pubs and bars are right at the heart of our beautiful village — the places where friends meet, families gather, stories are shared, and Friday nights come alive. When we started Romiley Food on Friday nine years ago, the aim was simple: to bring more people into the village, support the night time economy, and remind everyone just how much is happening right here on our doorstep.

So, if you’re heading down to the village this Friday, why not make a proper evening of it? Pop into one of our brilliant local pubs or bars — or maybe two if you’re feeling sociable — say hello, enjoy a drink, and soak up the atmosphere that makes Romiley such a special place.

Roll up, food lovers! Our final two stalls for this Friday are absolute crackers — and if you’ve been sampling your way around food markets across the North West, you may well recognise them.

First up, be sure to give a big Romiley hello to Fiona at Snoop Doggs, who’ll be serving up some of the tastiest hot dogs around. And we’re delighted to welcome back El Españolito - Little Spanish! After a last-minute hiccup in May thanks to some pesky equipment issues, they’re back and ready to fill the precinct with the delicious smell of freshly cooked paella.

So gather your friends, bring your appetite, and join us down in Romiley Precinct from 6:30pm this Friday (17th). It’s shaping up to be another brilliant night of great food, friendly faces, and local market buzz!

We’re very excited to welcome back two of our regular and hugely popular stalls this Friday 17th at Romiley Food on Friday, right in the heart of Romiley Precinct.

Regular visitors to our Saturday market will already know and love The Samosa Guy — and you’ll also know just how quickly he sells out! So, if you’ve got your eye on those delicious samosas, don’t hang about. Get your order in early and avoid that dreaded “sold out” sign.

TinTin Foodie MCR Asian Dry Noodle Specialist were also a massive hit last time, so our top tip is simple: arrive hungry, join the queue early, and treat yourself to something seriously tasty.

Romiley, get ready to roll out the warmest welcome! This week’s Food on Friday is bringing a brand-new stallholder to the precinct, and they’re arriving with a proper taste of summer.

Hot on the heels of Wimbledon and all this glorious sunshine, we can’t think of anything more perfectly seasonal than Strawberries & Dreams. Think fresh, fruity, feel-good treats with that sunshine-in-a-bowl kind of vibe.

We’re delighted to welcome two brilliant sweet treat stalls to our local food festival: Perfect Cupcakes , bringing a mouth-watering selection of beautifully baked goodies, and Flossypops Candy Company , ready to keep everyone smiling with delicious sugary treats.

Whether you fancy something fluffy, frosted, colourful or wonderfully nostalgic, make sure you swing by, say hello, and treat yourself — because food festival calories definitely don’t count!
