We became 100% vegan in 2020. All of our cakes are plant based and we have "no gluten" options on the menu too. Nut allergy sufferers are advised that, due to the limitations of our small kitchen, all food prepared may contain traces of nuts.

KITCHEN CLOSES 30 mins BEFORE CAFE CLOSING TIME. If you would like to place an order to collect after this time, please phone ahead to avoid disappointment. (01915641763)

Everything is vegan, egg and dairy free. We also have non gluten options. Please be aware that because our kitchen is very small we cannot guarantee 100% gluten free, please let our staff know if you are coeliac before ordering. 🙏

Driving home today, I paused on a busy stretch of road whilst in slow moving traffic, to let a couple of bairns on their bikes cross over. The driver behind me impatiently honked his horn. Just what the hell is the matter with people?! Is there no common decency any more?! I’m still fuming thinking about it. Were those few seconds really going to make that much difference to their journey? Ffs

Anyway Rant over. Here are some lovely cherry scones.

Anyway to make up for the radio silence here’s a few foodie highlights from the last few weeks.. If you’ve missed out on any of these.. sorry but where have you been?!

And here are this week’s Specials for those who like to know..

🌱TOFISH & CHIPS
Our tastiest tofish ever, Served with mushy peas, tartare sauce and optional chip shop style curry sauce as an extra add on!

🌱BATTERED SAUSAGES & CHIPS
For the tofu haters (yes some people are just weird) these taste soo much like the real thing, our carnivore taste testers can vouch for this! Served with mushy peas and optional curry sauce.

🌱BUDDHA BOWL
A gluten free Asian style salad with leafy greens, smoked tofu, roast broccoli, edamame, smacked cucumber salad, carrot and sweet peppers, with a ginger, sesame & lime dressing! Health! 💚

We also have some special Easter sweet treats in the works so watch this space..

Finally our opening hours over Easter are as follows:

Okonomiyaki. Try saying that fast three times! 😂 They’re Japanese savoury pancakes; and ours are made with cabbage, spring onions, silken tofu, mixture of gram and plain flours, and shiitake mushrooms. Topped with Okonomi sauce, vegan Mayo, fresh spring onions, pickled ginger and furikake seasoning. Soo good!

In the spirit of good things to come we have decided to let you decide what to call our new year mascot!
