In honour of St David’s Day weekend we are celebrating here at Kardomah with a choice of home-made Welsh specialties.

We have:

Traditional Welsh Cawl served with a crusty baguette

Full Welsh Breakfast including locally sourced cockles and laverbread

Welsh Rarebit served with onion chutney and a side garnish

And just to satisfy a sweet tooth we also have Welsh cakes!

All of these are available for sit in and to take away.

A cafe in Swansea city centre has welcomed a VIP – a Very Important Puppy! Yellow labrador cross retriever Selwyn called into the Kardomah Coffee Shop and Restaurant to thank owners and staff for raising £5,000 to choose her unique Welsh name. She was accompanied by her puppy raiser, Ali Bolton, and greeted by owners Marcus and Louise Luporini.

Guide dog puppies traditionally receive a warm welcome at the Kardomah when their puppy raisers call in for a cuppa, and staff enjoy watching the pups grow in confidence. Selwyn is the second dog to be named by the restaurant, following in the pawprints of yellow labrador cross retriever Coffee, who is now retired after a successful career as a guide dog in North Wales.

The Kardomah has plans to name a third guide dog puppy, so watch this space!
