We’d talked about hosting our Wednesday Quiz outside for a long time, but with the sunshine showing no signs of letting up, we finally made the executive decision… and took it into the garden for the very first time!

Safe to say it was a huge success. Our shaded side garden turned out to be the perfect setting, with plenty of laughs, great company and a brilliant atmosphere from start to finish.

A massive shout out to Dave, who was on top form as quizmaster, keeping everyone entertained throughout the evening. We also handed out ice creams and served plenty of ice-cold drinks to help everyone stay cool in the heat. 🍦🍺

If this week’s anything to go by, we might just have started a new summer tradition! 🌿☀️

📢 A quick notice for our regular quizzers: There will be no Wednesday Quiz this week as we’ll be showing England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 vs DR Congo 🇨🇩 live instead. We know many of you won’t want to miss England’s World Cup knockout game, so we’ll be cheering the Three Lions on together instead!

The quiz will be back the following Wednesday, bigger and better as always. Come on England! ⚽🍻🏆

What a night at The Clifton last Wednesday for England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 vs Croatia 🇭🇷!

The pub was packed, the atmosphere was incredible, and our customers were amazing as always. Friendly faces, plenty of laughs, and the kind of match-day buzz we could only have hoped for. ❤️

We’ve done our very best to keep the pub as cool as possible in preparation for another busy one tonight.. we have fans running and every effort has been made to keep the heat at bay. It’s looking like a real scorcher, so please dress appropriately for the weather and make sure you’re keeping hydrated before enjoying a few beers.

As always, please bear with our small team during the busy periods we’ll be working hard to keep the drinks flowing and everyone looked after ❤️
