Followed by one voice on Saturday from 3pm
Then England vs Norway !! It’s coming home 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

What a game they had with Mexico !! Let’s support 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and support our local !! See you all Wednesday and Saturday !!

But !!! In the mean time we have bingo here Tuesday starting 8pm

“Owner’s message
We appreciate that the closure of The Lizzie is upsetting news for the community of Woodside and it’s not a decision we have taken lightly.
We had many plans and ambitions when we first took over & have worked hard to explore all options, Kelly has been dedicated to the cause & supported us whole heartedly managing, arranging events, charity functions and catering for birthday parties through to wakes, however due to increases in business rates, supplier costs & workforce costs as well as low attendance the pub is now at risk, we’ve been struggling, it’s now got to a stage where we are operating at reduced hours and have given it until the end of August to see if there’s anything else that can be done.

The grant was accepted by us to develop the chippie, these funds were used for the relevant planning permissions and will remain with The Lizzie whosever hands its in.

Ultimately we do not want to see the pub closed, the more support we can get the better for Woodside as a community.

We would be more than happy to talk to anyone that has questions and will be in the pub over the next few weeks.

Hi all .
Firstly, I would like to thank you all for turning up this morning for the bbc midlands today filming .
For everyone that didn’t know , we have been nominated for a make a difference award . All down to changing the rules around DKA testing and the awareness and money we raised . We went on the radio and now the tv with it .

All thanks to our amazing staff and the wonderful community of Woodside ! We can’t thank you enough .

As of today we will be open from 4pm in the week . I know this sounds crazy as it’s hot , and we have our lovely 12 o’clock crew (as I call them ) but I have to do what I’m asked .

So sadly , through the summer and the heat wave we won’t be open until 4pm
