We are a family-run independent restaurant and we feel this every single day. Rising energy costs, food inflation, employment costs and on top of all of it, a 20% VAT rate that is among the highest in Europe. In Spain, Italy, France and Germany? They already support hospitality with lower rates because they understand what it means to their communities. We do too.

When hospitality businesses close, communities lose far more than places to eat and drink — they lose connection, opportunity and local identity.

That’s exactly why we are proudly backing and the campaign, a nationwide movement calling on the Government to cut hospitality VAT to 10%. It’s a plan for fair tax. It’s a plan for growth.
