Well, last night's karaoke was a huge success! We all had a great time, and there were plenty of people brave enough to get up and sing, too. We had songs by Connie Francis, Blondie, Oasis, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Diamond, Elton John and lots of other classic sing-along songs 🎼
I won't put up pictures of the individuals to save any future copyright infringements later in their careers 😜
In fact, it was so enjoyable, that we are going to do it all over again on Sunday, 9th August at 6pm! I've certainly got my thinking cap on for any songs I'd like to try next time...maybe a bit of Rick Astley? 😆🎤

You may have seen over the last few days that I've been very busy adding events to our calendar 🥵
Thats because all summer we're having a Sunday Funday! 🥳
Don't worry about work the next day, as our live acts and entertainment start at 5pm or 6pm. It also means the whole family can join in - even on a school night 🤓
I've booked the lovely early evening weather you can expect in Wales 😆☀️☔️ so all our acts will be performing on the patio (retreating into the pub if needed!)

Our comedy night on Sunday was a huge success. Tommy and his entourage were excellent, really funny and kept us laughing all night. If you see Tommy Smith Comedian performing anywhere then make sure you get to see him, brilliant!
We also raised a bit of money for 2 local causes, which we rounded up ourselves, £100 each to St Caron Church roof fund and Tregaron Family Centre
So a big thank you to Tommy, everyone that came and donated. Diolch yn fawr 🥰

Now here is one for the football fans ⚽️
Courtesy of , we have a fun game to play throughout the tournament called Beat The Gaffer 👨‍💼 Dafydd has entered his predictions for the group stages of the FIFA World Cup and all you have to do is go to the website using the QR code, enter your guesses and see if you can beat Dafydd. You'll be entered onto our own pub leaderboard. If you come into the pub and pay £1, the person who is top of the leaderboard after the final will win the pot. The QR code will also be available to scan in the pub.
You don't even need to be an expert, just join in and have a guess!
After the group stages finish, you'll need to enter your predictions for the next round and so on.
Oh and sorry for the short notice but you have to complete it before kick off on Thursday! 🙈

Many of you know Chris our barman - great with our customers, funny, cheeky and fastest pint puller around! 🍺
What you may not know is that he is passionate about serving our guests a proper pint of real ale, and runs the cellar with his brother Michael like a well oiled machine ⚙
He recently enjoyed a trip to down to the Brains Brewery in Cardiff for a cellar management course with Cask Marque. You won't be surprised to hear he passed with flying colours 👨🏻‍🎓 👏🏻👏🏻 well done Chris 🙌🏻

For the pudding lovers among us, our brown sugar custard tart is a showstopper 🤩
A good old fashioned custard tart taken up a level by incorporating melted brown sugar to the mix which gives it a slight toffee taste then sprinkled with a little sea salt to counteract the sweetness. Served with a mellow and silky smooth milk ice cream 🍨 All homemade with care and passion by Dafydd and our fabulous team 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳
