7th Rise Nature Recovery CiC

Over the last few months we've been spending time with some of the people who visit 7th Rise.

Rob and Justin first came to us through Coastline Housing. What started as a day out in the woods quickly became something they looked forward to each month.

We've been quietly documenting their story, alongside others, as we explore a simple question: what happens when people are given access to nature and left to be themselves?

In the coming weeks we'll be launching the new 7th Rise Nature Recovery CiC website, sharing short films, photography and stories from this place, the people and the partnerships that are helping shape this next chapter.

For now, here are Rob and Justin, a couple faces you'll be seeing more of soon.

7th Rise Nature Recovery CiC update

This week we have 2 events with charity partners, meeting with groups to walk through the trees, breathe in the fresh air, look out over the glistening river Fal, have meaningful conversations, learn and heal from the natural environment.

On Friday we have our next Rainforest Restoration Day where we will continue our work to restore this area of beautiful woodland and riverside. Reporting the ecological changes we've seen and maintaining the leaky dams and new willow woodland we planted.

Sauna Club (we haven't made a big deal about this yet as we're just getting started) but they've been going so well we're going with it.
This one is 5-8pm on Tuesday (5th May)

Foraging and Wild Food - our next course is next week on Thursday (7th May) such a great time of year for fresh, nutritious, free food. Learn from our expert Stu Woodman.

CAMP 7th Rise Monday 11th-14th May Get away for a few days of springtime calm and tranquility. These dates do not come up very often so jump at them if you can.

Big announcement!

It's official.

We've just launched our 7th Rise Nature Recovery CIC 🙌💫💚🌳🌱🛶🍄🥾

This has been in the works for a while now and we are so proud to let the news out.

We have set up this CIC alongside 7th Rise for so many reasons. Here's a few !

To provide nature-based activities and experiences, equal opportunities and access to nature for so many different groups and individuals across Cornwall and nationwide

To inspire, educate and empower both young people and adults with limited access to outdoor spaces to enable them to invest in their own wellbeing through access to nature, nature recovery and habitat restoration at various locations including the one we call home here on the river Fal

To collaborate with pre-existing organisations and build sustainable community partnerships and make sustainability and all that involves run through the heart of every action we take

To create green jobs and inspire others to learn the skills to make this lifestyle their living

All this with an aim to make everyone nature-rich 🌱🌳💚

We've got a few community Camp 7th Rise dates coming up in April and May

This is where you can come to 7th Rise for 24 or 48 hours and you don't need to be in a group to experience 7th Rise.

Solo travellers, small groups of mates, couples, everyone welcome. We've got 7 rooms over the venue, sleeping 17 people in total. We even have a tree tent now, if you want a night truly amongst the trees.
