Ronnie Dogs is home 💜🐾 and now recovering.
What a worrying day, but I honestly can’t thank the team Pet Clinic enough for their amazing, swift care and kindness — we are so grateful 🐶✨
Safe to say… there goes my new shower room fund 🤣🫣 ahhh well… looks like me and my camping shower and trusty bucket are sticking around a little longer 😂🚿🪣
Worth every penny to have my boy back home where he belongs 💜
Now for cuddles, rest and hopefully a smooth recovery.

A little update from the boat… 💜🐾
Poor Ronnie Dogs has had to go to doggie hospital today and they’ve decided to keep him in and operate as we speak.
Safe to say my heart is in my mouth waiting for updates, but he’s in the best hands and being looked after.
If you could send a little love, positive thoughts, prayers, healing vibes (and maybe a few extra treats for when he’s home 🙈🐶) we’d really appreciate it.

Thursday reflections.. 💜
I say this a lot, but Shanti Tea Boat isn’t just a café and it’s never only been about making money… it’s about community. Bringing people out into nature, encouraging people to discover somewhere new, creating friendships, connections and little moments that make life feel fuller.
A place to pause, chat, laugh, share stories… and maybe eat a little too much cake 🍰😅
This little floating café, started back in 2018, has come a long way from humble beginnings… and every cake eaten, every brew poured, every visit, share and conversation has helped make it what it is today. Something I’ll never take for granted 💜
If along the way I’ve inspired even a handful of people to slow down, follow an idea, try something different or simply get outside a bit more… then my heart is full.
Today I’ll also be thinking of a friend who is being laid to rest following a tragic accident ❤️
A reminder that tomorrow isn’t promised. Say the thing, take the walk, book the trip, drink the tea, spend time with the people you love and don’t save joy for “one day”.
And I hope to continue spreading the love with my purple boat and Tug Boat Ted for many years to come 💜🚤

I can tell ya now… it was a hot one on this boat last night 🥵 Hardly a wink of sleep and this morning it’s like the M62 outside with runners and dog walkers everywhere 🫣😂 Feeling a tad cranky over here… anyone else?
Now don’t get me wrong, I love the sunshine ☀️ but we’re about 10 degrees over my tolerance levels 😂
Anyway… on a brighter note ✨ I’ve been invited to do a talk for the Glitter Ladies in Wakefield next week. Something I’ve never done before but I’m actually quite excited…
Apparently my life is fascinating and interesting 🤔 To me, it’s just everyday normal.
A little reminder I suppose… the things we see as ordinary might be extraordinary to someone else 💭

Good morning Cockers… ☀️💜
So if you don’t already know… 🤔🤣 we’re having a proper heatwave this week — and not just warm, the kind where even standing still feels like hard work 🥵
Which means there’s absolutely no way I’m baking in this heat… and even if I was mad enough to try, keeping the cakes remotely edible would be another challenge altogether 🍰☀️😂
I’ve also got a few things on this week including appointments, a funeral and a 50th party 🎈💜
So the plan is… set sail Saturday 🚤💜
It’s a long cruising day and depending how things go, I may do a little pop-up opening Sunday offering drinks, waffles and a chance for anyone who fancies a Sunday stroll to pop by for a brew and a natter ☕🧇
If all goes to plan (and mooring spaces are available 🤞)… my next stops over the coming weeks will hopefully be:

📍 Castleford (11th & 12th July)

I've gained quite a few new followers recently and I'm receiving lots of messages asking…
“Are you open today?” “Where are you?” “What time?” “What days?” “What for?” 🤣🤣
So I thought I'd explain a little bit about my little business and how it all works…
I’m a roving trader, which means my little café (and my home!) moves place to place along the South Yorkshire Navigation and Aire & Calder Canal, roughly every two weeks.
Moving location isn’t as simple as untie and go either… often it takes me a full day because while I’m moving I’m disposing of rubbish, refilling my water tank, sorting supplies and then usually doubling back by foot to collect my van 😅
Everything is baked fresh from my tiny floating kitchen using one small oven… so as you can imagine, it all takes time. I also have to go and buy all my stock and transport it back to the boat… no deliveries here!
So with all that in mind, I generally open Saturdays & Sundays, with the occasional Friday or midweek pop-up depending on location, weather and footfall.
Even if I had the energy to open more… there genuinely aren’t enough hours in the day to do all of the above single handed.
And yes… I’ve got some fabulous friends who help when they can (and I appreciate them endlessly 💜) but mainly… it’s just me.
And let’s not forget Mabel & Ronnie… who are very demanding and insist on their daily walks too 🐾🤣
So the best thing to do is follow the page and keep an eye on my updates for locations and opening times.
Thank you for supporting my tiny floating dream and allowing me to do what I love.
Because nobody wants to work 24/7… and life’s for living too ☕🍰🚤
