It’s going to be a little cooler tomorrow so should be lovely to visit the Pontefract Liquorice Festival and also the Craft Fair which is the Town Hall.
ROKware will be there as well as Bags of Difference and many other craft stalls. Why not pop along 👍🏻😊

Looking forward to the Pontefract Liquorice Festival next Sunday 12th July 😁
ROKware, Bags of Difference and lots of other crafts people will be in the lovely Town Hall for the Craft Fair. It’s upstairs but there is a lift. Hope to see some of you there 🤞🏻😁
The next and last craft fairs for ROKware in 2026 will be November at the Spring and Chantry Chapel 🥰

Looks like a lovely day today - why not pop down to the Chantry chapel open at 11 till 3 today.
Free entry and free parking on the bridge while the chapel is open.

Sunday, 14th: last day of our craft event, an opportunity to visit the Chantry Chapel. Explore the ceramics and crafts stalls at your leisure, Engage in clay modelling with Linda Bulleyment Ceramics, where creating miniature gargoyles and monsters is an enjoyable activity for all ages. Parking is available outside on the bridge. Admission is free.

Pop along to the Chantry Chapel this weekend - the weather is forecast to be a lot better 🤞🏻☀️
ROKware will be there along with another ceramicist so you will be able to peruse a range of lovely, unique and locally made ceramic items.
Have a go at modelling your own gargoyle in clay.
All of this in the beautiful interior of the historic Chantry Chapel.
Free entry and free parking on the bridge whilst the Chapel is open.
You could then cross over the road to visit the Hepworth Print Fair.

Oooooh! Have a read - you can have a play with clay to make a gargoyle or monster at the Chantry Chapel craft fair on 13/14th June. Clay sculpting is fun and could be a bit messy (even more fun) but something ROKware doesn’t do much of so this will be run by another lovely ceramisist 😍
Another reason - if you needed it, to pop along, have a look at the items for sale, have a go at sculpting in clay and enjoy the beautiful Chantry Chapel.
Free parking on the bridge while the fair is open. Free entry. 🥰
Afterwards you can pop over the road to the Hepworth for the Print Fair

Next weekend we have a open weekend with a Ceramic and crafts fair. Where you can have a play with clay.. make your own Chantry gargoyle, grotesques or monsters of your own design. The start of the summer opening season at Chantry Chapel Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June. Come along have a good day out take a look around the historical Chantry Chapel on the Bridge. Parking on the bridge, free to enter.

*STOP PRESS* the Chantry Chapel is celebrating the start of their summer Saturday openings and the Hepworth running their popular Print Fair by opening on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June and having craft fair.
ROKware will be there with freshly picked ceramic rhubarb leaves and other items.

Rhubarb leaves are now out of the kiln 💚
They all survived 😁
I love the dark green with subtle hint of redness in the veins, but I’m looking to invest in a lighter leaf green as an alternative when I make my next batch.
It’s very difficult to photograph them without getting glare on one or more.

As well as the liquorice festival there’s a craft fair on the Town Hall. Free entry and lift to two rooms to enjoy looking around.
