A whistle stop tour of Mindful Chef’s Gathering garden! Designed by the wonderful Sophie Godber for Sandringham!

A traditional orchard, reimagined. Our garden brings together home-grown produce with a real commitment to nature recovery — because since the 1950s, England and Wales have lost an estimated 90% of traditional orchards to neglect and development.

So beneath the trees you will find a wildlife-friendly understorey buzzing with pollinator favourites and pops of lilac, purple and orange. Wildlife boxes, a green roof shed, a natural pond and a native hedgerow. A surrounding a central deck where friends can gather and feel closer to nature.

The idea? Gardens shouldn’t be isolated private spaces, but a patchwork of habitats that together restore local food, nature and community.

And we’re thrilled it all added up to a GOLD medal and the King’s Award for Biodiversity 🌸
