Just a reminder that our Tuesday Night Quiz is taking a little break and will begin again on Tuesday 1st of September. A little swotting up time for you all 🧐

WORLD CUP 2026 SEMI FINAL number 1 tonight when France take on Spain at 8pm. If you'd like to watch who England might be taking on in the final, pop in as we will be showing the action life on all our screens. Omer isn't on the BBQ tonight so feel free to order in some food.

It's England v Argentina tomorrow in SEMI FINAL NO2. We are fully booked and are so excited, 60 years of hurt ready to be transformed! Omer is happy to fire up the BBQ but orders need to be placed by noon today - text 07341264965. Our garden will remain open until 9pm for those who would just like a drink in the sun!

In between all this football madness it's time for Meet the Team Monday!

Tonight we have one of our newest and most important recruits in the frame, Sam.

Sam is our youngest member of the team and works every Saturday night. He's out in the bar area most of the time, picking up your empties (when you forget to take the back!), running them through the glasswasher and getting them back on the shelf in time for your next round! He also stocks our fridges, drops barrels and greets everyone with a smile. Please take the time to talk to him, he's invaluable to the smooth running of our Saturday nights 😎

Interesting fact - over the summer he's teaching himself to play the guitar 🎸

What a week! Beautiful weather, great company, excellent music and of course, ENGLAND are through to the semi finals of The World Cup for the first time since 2018. Could this be a repeat of 1966 ( a great year I might add 😉)? Watch this space!
We are currently fully booked for Wednesday's match but will post any cancellations on our Instagram page as they happen.
As for the rest of the week, let's take a look!

What a way to end a Saturday . . .

It's bookings only from 8pm this evening and we are FULLY BOOKED. We will be calling last orders at 7pm this evening for those not booked for the game and will be closing the pub at 8pm. Doors reopen at 830pm for those booked in for the game. This is to ensure that we can all enjoy the action.
STRICTLY NO WALK INS OR UNDER 18s.

Bloomin heck it's hot lol! But we have the answer, our garden is lovely and shady, nice breeze and the perfect spot to relax with a chilled beer or two. Why not switch it up and grab a Magners, it's our Summer Promo and at £4.95/pint it's a bargain too 😎

Tonight we have Luke Edney here hosting our Open Mic Night. If you haven't booked a slot do it now or just pop in. It's a great night and the perfect spot to showcase those hidden talents! Join us from 830pm (and bring a fan lol).

Friday's Live Music is courtesy of Jon Byron and Guido - you will recognise these two from Open Mic Night and not only is their musical talent amazing, they're fun too. Win win in my book! Music Friday from 830pm.

Bit later than normal but Meet the Team Monday is here!

Today it's one of our youngest team member's in the spotlight. Despite being younger, James has worked at The Jolly longer than I have. He started here when Craig and Vanessa managed the pub and has stayed on for which I am so grateful. He can turn his hand to anything (serving, clearing, hoisting barrels, charming the customers...) and once fixed a wonky ale line when everyone else failed. You will find James behind the bar at any time when he is home from Uni, working away with a smile and witty chat - be sure to say hi next time you see him!

England v Norway Saturday July 11th at 10pm

We will be following the action live here at The Jolly and invite you to watch with us. This will be a BOOKING ONLY EVENT to ensure everyone watching has a great time. To facilitate this, we will be closing the pub at 8pm and reopening at 830pm for those who have booked with us. Our doors will be closed from 9pm for the match so, if you have a table booked, please join us before 9pm.
We are a small pub so on this occasion we will not be allowing walk ins or under 18s.

Join us for The British Grand Prix which is followed by our Sunday Live Music Session. What better way to 'while away the hours' before a few hours kip ahead of the match???
