The season is over, a couple of European cup finals to go then the World Cup. My theory is we always have a great summer when the World Cup is on ☀️ and so far so good!!

Why don’t you join us for a relaxing evening at The Roxburgh where we’ve worked with local and international artist Marcus Reed to bring you a special menu - The Beautiful Game. Our ode to the touchlines and the terraces. So if you or your other half have a mild interest in the sport it’s the menu for you. If you or your other half is football crazy, football mad then it’s definitely the menu for you!

And even if you hate the sport it’s still a cracking stand alone menu!

We now have the restaurant in full gallery mode too, with Mr Reed’s art work adorning the walls.

This is a little taster of what we do here at The Roxburgh.

We don’t like to show off the dishes due to the element of surprise. Also I like the idea that the dish is of that moment, it isn’t captured on social media or blogged. Of course we have to take a picture once in a while to sell the place but we hope you put your trust in us based on reputation and word of mouth as it’s our guests kind words to friends and family that have kept us here for the last 12 years
We serve the menu kinda blind. No menu on the table or the blackboard. Where you put your trust in us and you don’t know what’s coming. I personally love dining this way. The anticipation of trying to guess what’s next after the first course lays down the marker.
Of course we always post a menu on socials so it’s not a total secret!

As the season comes to a close we’re gearing up for the 2026 World Cup when the globe goes football crazy for a month with a menu encapsulating the match day traditions, from the terraces to the touch lines.
We also pay tribute to some of the greats of the game.

If you love football, mildly tolerate it or even hate it. This is the menu for you. Fresh takes on classic football fare using the best seasonal ingredients we can get our hands on.
