The New Inn was the first purpose-built pub in Whitstable, constructed in the 1830s when the railway opened. The surrounding terraces housed dockers, railway workers and fishermen and the pub continues to this day to be a down-to-earth, unpretentious place with a friendly atmosphere. With an excellent reputation for beer and a well stocked back bar, the New Inn is one of the last bastions of the b

ack street pub in the town. A relaxed atmoshere, with pool table, darts and a top selection of board games. We love our music at the New Inn, and have a jukebox that is free every Friday!! We often have live bands, free pool on Tuesday nights. we offer a fantastic selection of Stone Baked Pizzas throughout the day. Our pubs, restaurants, cafes, hotels, nightclubs and many more, are at the heart of our communities.

They bring people together and bring life to our cities, towns and villages, but they're under huge pressure from rising costs.

In the UK, you pay one of the highest VAT rates in Europe. 20% extra in VAT for your meal out or stay away. In France, Spain and Italy, it's 10%. In Germany? 7%.

Our message to Government is simple. Let's stand together to say VAT at 10% is fair for hospitality.

Anybody that is still struggling and donโ€™t have a water supply are more then welcome to come down use the toilets and help themselves to tap water//filling bottles up! ๐Ÿ’ฆ
