The Fort Boxing Club of Whitchurch has received financial backing from The Grocott Family Foundation to host a free-of-charge Summer Camp to offer fun and creative activities for local children aged 7 – 12 during August. Boxing, dodgeball, indoor games, drawing and board games are all included in the programme

Sessions will be held at the club on four consecutive weeks, from 9.00am – 12.00pm, Tuesday – Thursday, commencing Tuesday 4th August, Tuesday 11th August, Tuesday 18th August and Tuesday 25th August.

Anyone wishing to book their children into the Summer Camp should message the club’s owner Daniel Bailey on 07523 743589.

We are looking to appoint a Marina Operative, an important position within our team to support day-to-day operations at the marina.

This is a hands-on role offering a huge amount of variety, with specific emphasis on delivering the safe, efficient and professional operations of the marina, dry dock, boatyard and boat hire fleet. You will ensure high standards of safety, presentation and customer care, while carrying-out tasks ranging from practical boat maintenance and handling to retail support and grounds upkeep.

The Grocott Family Foundation is supporting The Fort Boxing Club’s Summer Camps taking place in Whitchurch to provide free-of-charge, fun activities for children aged 7 – 12 throughout the month of August.

Congratulations to James Philipson, Financial Controller of the Grocott Group (owners of the marina), who has been accredited by accountancy governing body, the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales), as an authorised trainer for our team.

The accreditation means James can now provide day-to-day training, supervision and mentorship for colleagues looking to achieve chartered accountancy status.

James is pictured with Lucy Grocott who is just setting out on her three-year journey to qualify as a chartered accountant. He also keeps all our finances for the marina in good order!
