Last year our Long Lazy Lunch highlight was when Jose Pizarro- The Godfather of Spanish Cooking in the UK, hopped into the kitchen with our Chefs to serve up a delightful menu. This year we cannot wait to deliver The Grand Finale with Wi******er and many of the brilliant hospitality venues on The Square including .collaboration to deliver an event we hope the wonderful community of Wi******er will join us to celebrate. Tomorrow the very lovely Maria will be hosting a Spanish conversation group at Bar Lento. Details on poster but everyone welcome. Call us or message to book a space. All levels welcome. We like to make this a weekly event so message here if the day or time isn’t great and we can work out the best way forward

STOP PRESS!! We are really excited to be a part of The Taste of Wi******er campaign and especially to be part of the grand finale. The Long, Lazy, Lunch is a menu which showcases the diversity and quality of the culinary scene in Wi******er. It’s a really exciting collaboration of the Wi******er restaurant scene and it’s going to be a cracker. Tables will run the length of The Square. The Square is such a lovely street full of great bars and hospitality venues and they will all be on hand to serve you your favourite beer, wines or cocktails to compliment your lunch. There will be live cooking, music, jamon carving, Sherry tasting and much more. This is a first for our city and we have all worked really hard to make this happen, we hope you will all support it, love it and want it to become a yearly event. Back on the menu! Russian Salad is a Spanish comfort food favourite. Made with potatoes, carrots, egg, capers , great seasoning and served on its own with a dusting of smoked paprika and a sprinkling of extra virgin olive oil, or topped with Ventresca, which is the finest tinned tuna belly and just melts in your mouth. At Bar Lento we pride ourselves on the high quality of our ingredients, sourced locally and from specialist suppliers in Spain. We put our heart and soul into cooking the authentic dishes we serve, some with a fresh new twist. As we move from Spring to Summer we’re tweaking the menu to bring in some new dishes and see the return of some past favourites, like our delicious Russian salad, now available with rich and very tasty tuna ventresca.
