A year today the Grand Depart of the Tour de France starts with a finish in Carlisle before heading to the start of Stage 2 Saturday July 3rd 2027 - Keswick to Liverpool which passes right through Windermere Village and just seconds from the hotel!

The heat got to us yesterday and we forgot it was National Cream Tea Day! Thankfully Farrer's our Tea and Coffee suppliers were on the ball as always though but they opened the age old debate....

Jam then cream???
Cream then jam???

Come and join us this afternoon for a cream tea with freshly brewed Farrers Tea and Coffee.

We've been brewing a proper pot of tea since 1819 too.

And on National Cream Tea Day, we think that earns us
an opinion: cream first, then jam.

(We're from Kendal. We've had 200 years to think about it.)

When it comes to weather and our bar and restaurant, it’s usually come and shelter from the rain but instead this week we’re saying, come and shelter from the sun! ☀️

Our bar is cool and relaxing serving refreshing drinks including cocktails but we have tables outside on the terrace if you still love to sit out in the sunshine. ☀️

Our food menu has lots of summery dishes, we are loving the Hot Smoked Salmon Nicoise Salad this week!
