Times are really hard for a lot of people right now, we see it every day - it doesn’t matter if you’re working or not, most people are struggling to make ends meet.
We’ve been thinking about what we can do to give back to our community, because without it we wouldn’t have our shop. We have some of the best customers in the world, and some of you have been with us from day 1. Suzanne, owner of Cotto Via, was born here and is so proud of the community of Wishaw and how it pulls together in times of need. A fed community is a happier community.
Having a hot meal and food is a human right for all, and what we want to do is give back to people who really need it. If you are really struggling, pop into the shop or give us a call and ask for an “Angel Meal” - we will provide a hot Cotto Via meal, no questions asked.
If anyone is in the position where they can help, you have a few ways of helping us help the community. You can sponsor a meal for someone by donating (as little as £1!) which will go into a jar and help towards someone’s meal if they are struggling in hopes that it will feed the community of Wishaw and people who need our help.
We are also asking for donations of any food stuff that’s non perishable so we can make up food bag to give out alongside an Angel Meal. If we have too many donations that we can’t hand out we will give to any local food banks ourselves.
Please share this and pass the message on, we hope it finds the right people who could benefit from a warm meal and some kindness. A hot meal shouldn’t be seen as a treat, it is a necessity
And just to also spread the good word that our neighbours at Bar 6 having started offering free soup for seniors and pensioners every single day. This is ideal for someone who wants some company and a chat. ❤️
