Sorry to announce that for reasons outside my control we are unable to open our kitchen today 😞

I have spent the past 2.5 hours trying to rectify the problem but have exhausted all my options.

We will be back open as normal tomorrow

Last week, we had an unexpected visit from two ladies who were sitting having a soft drink and chatting.

Within 10 minutes, one of the ladies came over to me. She appeared visibly shaken and looked frightened.

She asked, “Is Angela working today?” After taking a few seconds to process what she’d said, I recognised that this could be someone in danger. I responded:

“Yes, she’s in the kitchen today. If you’d like to follow me through.”

That’s when I was told it was actually an audit to assess how we would respond in that situation.

I’m so pleased we recognised the situation, reacted appropriately, and did the right thing.

Today we will be holding the wake at the Legged for Lucie, who is one of my all time friends, we go back over 20 years.

I first met Lucie when we got talking at her work place all them years ago, my first memory of her was when I always went to shake her hand when we seen each other and she told me off, From then we got on so well and spent many days together, going out even spent some time working together.

I have never met anyone who was so motherly to everyone she came across, she was someone who put herself before others and did everything she could to protect and give her children the best she could.

I share many memories, moments, laughter and even some tears with Lucie, and those will never be forgotten.

Today, you will finally be at rest, and I know you’ll continue to look down on all your family and friends as we all continue to come to terms with our devastating loss.

Rest in peace Lucie.

I just wanted to remind you all that the Three Legged Stool does not have TV’s so we will not be showing any of the sports.

Our friends at the Romans Rest have several TV’s and to my knowledge showing all the sports.

If you’re looking for a quiet meal or a drink then we will be open as normal.

If you are watching the games, enjoy and be safe.
