Right… who pressed the fast-forward button?

We’re now officially entering the part of the year where every weekend mysteriously disappears, every adult starts saying, “I can’t believe it’s July already!” and every diet quietly gets postponed until “after summer.”

Here’s your reminder that life is short…

🍔 Order the burger.
🍟 Get the fries.
🍰 Have the cake.
☕ Wash it all down with coffee.

Calories don’t count on the first day of a new month. (Don’t fact-check us. We made that rule up about 30 seconds ago.)

🎂 Birthday Cake Update! 🎂

We’ve decided to postpone our birthday cake giveaway until Saturday.

Why? Because turning the oven on today would be the culinary equivalent of voluntarily diving headfirst into the fiery pits of hell. 🔥🥵

In the interests of keeping our baker, kitchen team, and cakes from spontaneously combusting, we’re giving the ovens a well-deserved day off.

Don’t worry though—the celebrations aren’t cancelled, just delayed! Join us on Saturday and enjoy a piece of birthday cake on us with every full-price meal as we continue celebrating another year of Dee Dee’s. 🎉🍰

I’ve been amazed by the amount of people who have been walking their dogs during the daytime over the past few days!

As a dog owner myself, I know that exercise is important, however, you need to be more responsible in this heat. They can’t tell us how they’re feeling and they rely on you to protect them!

Don’t be daft, no matter if they’re driving you mad to go out, it won’t hurt them to miss a walk. It will hurt them if they get heat exhaustion!!

BE RESPONSIBLE! DON’T WALK YOUR DOG IN THE HEAT!!

Due to the extreme temperatures forecast, we have made the difficult decision to close tomorrow, Thursday 25th June.

As much as we love welcoming you through our doors, the health, safety and wellbeing of our team has to come first. Working in a busy kitchen and café environment during periods of very high heat can pose a significant risk to staff, and we feel it is the responsible decision to give our team a chance to stay safe and cool.

We know this may be disappointing, and we apologise for any inconvenience. The good news is we’ll be back open as normal on Friday, refreshed, recharged, and ready to welcome you for great food, coffee and cake. ☕🍰
