Would you take a look at that! 😮

📍The Farmers Arms, Newquay

Czech artist Kaca Thomasini has reimagined a mural which had been lost to the passing of time, and the good ol' British weather. 🌦️

Veteran Publican Stephen, who runs the pub with his wife Karen and son Matthew is over the moon with the painting: "The response has been overwhelming and become a big talking point. It really brightens up the place and we couldn’t be happier.” 🐝

The inclusion of the butterfly 🦋 on the mural is symbolic of the pub being part of Punch's Pollinator Pubs partnership with the Eden Project. More on this can be found on our website >>> www.punchpubs.com/sustainability/

Liverpool pub scores a refurb! 🥅

Our Management Partners Aimee and Tom Reynolds have reopened The Grove pub in Anfield following a £330k Punch refurbishment! 💯

The reimagination 💥 of The Grove includes a full internal refresh, new furniture, new bar and cellar equipment, the beer garden and external signage.

Aimee and Tom say the pub is for everyone! “We want The Grove to be a pub where everyone feels welcome. Whether you’re a regular, a football fan, a local resident or visiting for the first time, you’ll receive the same warm welcome.” ❤️

Our Publican, Chris Stockton, has reopened The Ferry in Wallasey after a £230k refurbishment! 🥹

Chris, who recently celebrated eight years at the helm, has reassured guests that while there may be a surprise or two, the pub they know and love remains the same.

We’ve retained the building’s character while giving it a fresh new feel and revitalised 💫 the outside with new planting 🪴 and lighting 💡, creating an inviting space for guests to enjoy throughout the day and into the evening.

A big thank you to everyone involved in sprucing up this amazing pub 🙏

Back in May, we shared that Radio 2 DJ, presenter and author Sara Cox was partnering with us on the launch of our Public House Report, helping to spread the vital message of how important pubs are to their communities.

In an interview with the Metro, Sara said: “My mum ran the Pineapple in Bolton while I was growing up, so pub culture has been a big part of my life.

“These days, pubs aren’t just somewhere to go for a meal or a drink. You can go there to sing, play board games, knit, natter or attend a book club. They are the heart of our communities.”

Team work makes the dream work! 🤩

This week, we proudly reopened the beautiful The Ferry pub in Wallasey after a £230k investment.

What makes this pub so special? It’s the team at its heart. 🫶🏻

For the past eight years, Chris has led the team, who were taken under the wing of our lovely Pub Development Coach, Samantha Andrewartha, for on-board training, cocktail-making and everything in between! 🍹🍻

Speaking about her time there, Sam said: “What a welcome I received when I turned up at The Ferry!

“The team are the most engaging, caring people with so much personality it’s impossible not to love them. They really embraced the sessions, learned new ways of working, asked lots of questions and valued the answers. I truly believe team Ferry will go farther than just the Mersey!”

It’s not like we didn’t know it already, but Sam’s experience at The Ferry is just one example of how, without our wonderful teams, our pubs wouldn’t be the welcoming, vibrant hubs they are today. 💗

The seal of approval from the local community – this pub has all that and more! 👏🏻🍻

Thanks to our fantastic Property Team, a £480k investment has marked the start of an exciting new chapter for The Bramford C**k in Ipswich. 🤩

The beautiful transformation was all about putting the pub back at the heart of its community – creating a warm, welcoming, family-oriented destination that the whole village can be proud of.

Led by new Management Partner, Jenny, the vision was clear: to be a brilliant village local offering outstanding food, friendly service and a great atmosphere, seven days a week – and it’s a big tick all round! ✅

A huge thank you to everyone involved in helping this pub spread its wings once again. It’s an exciting investment and a bright future for Jenny and the team! 🍻

We’re delighted to announce that The Windsor Castle N2 has done it – they are officially the BII’s Licensee of the Year 2026 winners! 🤩👏🏻

An incredible achievement for a fantastic team, led by Eamonn and Arina, who strive each and every day to inspire those moments and deliver five-star service.

When they found out they were finalists, they said: “This award really does mean a lot and will enable us to showcase all our achievements – our passion for hospitality, continued positive growth and development, our amazing team, and, above all else, our commitment to and love of our local community. Without you, we wouldn’t be here.

“In 2022, we took on a small backstreet pub that hadn’t been doing too well. We put our hearts and souls into making it special and made a real effort to connect with the local community. The Windsor Castle is now a much-loved community asset – for the community, with the community at its heart.”

Simply incredible – the whole Punch team could not be prouder.
