DOES A CUP OF TEA REALLY COOL YOU DOWN?

We have been debating if hot drinks really cool you down in the heat but, OMG it’s hot, so my opinion is absolutely not!
My usual coffee addiction has been curbed because I just can’t handle the heat!
So… my new go to is pink lemonade full of ice!

What do you think? Tea, Coffee or something cold whilst we go through heat wave number 2?

P.S Just a reminder we have lots of outside seating for you to enjoy a cool drink whilst the sun is shining! I’ve just ordered parasols so hopefully they will appear soon and you can enjoy your favourite beverage in the sun!

Right… we need your honest opinions!

As lots of you know, we’ve got exciting plans for Milliefox over the coming months, including our new private room.

To make that work, we’re looking at whether our opening hours still suit our current customers and customers who would use us if we were open more.

We’re thinking about running a 4-week trial of opening:

Monday-Saturday from 8.30am
Staying open until 4pm Monday-Friday
Saturdays 8.30 open but closing the same 3pm.

We’ve also talked about opening Sundays in the future, but that’s a much bigger commitment because we’d need extra staff.

Here’s where we need your help…

Over the years we’ve had lots of people ask for earlier opening times and longer hours. The problem is that when we’ve tried different hours before, they just weren’t busy enough to cover the extra wages.

So this time we need honest answers rather than “that sounds nice.”

Would YOU genuinely come in before 9.30am or up to 4pm?

If yes…
What times?
Which day(s)?
What for Coffee? Breakfast? Cake? A place to work? After school treat?

If the answer is no, that’s absolutely fine too!
We’d much rather know now, than make changes and drag the team out of bed early for hours that don’t actually help the business.

This would only be a 4-week trial, and if people use it we’ll keep it. If not, we’ll know our current hours are the right ones.

We are excited to be at copcarnival tomorrow from 11.30am to 6pm showing off one of our new event carts! Tomorrow we will be doing a dessert cart alongside all our usual brownies & treats!

Pop along and create your own cake or brownie cup!

EARLY OPENING FOR SPORTS DAY - 8AM!

As its sports day on Friday 3rd July for Huntington Primary we have decided to open Early so parents, grandparents or anyone braving the day can grab a coffee or some brekkie to give them strength 😂

WE ARE IN NEED OF A CLONING MACHINE!

We are sorry but the cafe will be closed on Saturday 4th July as we are at copcarnival 🥳

This was planned before the sale fell through and we also have staff on hols so without the use of a cloning machine we have had to make the decision to close for the day.

Well… this isn’t quite the update we thought we’d be sharing!

After months of planning, and constantly saying “we haven’t got a handover date yet” the sale of Milliefox has fallen through.

It’s not the outcome we expected, but after a lot of chocolate, swearing and regrouping, we’ve decided to look at this as a new chapter rather than a setback.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be looking at ways to refresh Milliefox, make better use of the space and bring you more of the things you love, cakes, treats, afternoon teas, events and celebrations.

So if there is anything you would really like to see at Milliefox then let us know. Whether thats a nee menu item, a cake idea, what you would like to see in our event space or something you would like us to change. Then DM us.

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us, messaged us and kept showing up for cake. It honestly means more than you know.

So for now, we’re still here, still baking, still caffeinating the locals and apparently still making plans at 3am.

WE WILL BE CLOSED TOMORROW!

Just to let you know Milliefox Cafe will be closed tomorrow! We have worked through the heat all week but Friday 26th is supposed to be the hottest day so we are letting the team stay home and keep cool.
