We've had Lucy with us this week for Work Experience and she has been such an amazing addition to the team! She created two displays for us that we especially love, Brand New Books and a feature on the Hunger Games! Over to Lucy to tell you about her time here:
"This week for my work experience I have been lucky enough to work at my local library! I have loved stepping behind the scenes - learning how to organise collections, set up displays and support the community. Seeing firsthand how much libraries do for everyone was eye-opening. Thankyou so much to the staff, volunteers and customers!"

Children can read any books for the Summer Reading Challenge, including eBooks and eAudio. They'll receive rewards for the books they've read and a certificate and medal when they complete the Challenge. Pop into your local library and sign up to the Summer Reading Challenge today!

With Huntington Library but a stone’s throw from us, what do you think?

Have your say on Huntington Library opening hours 📚

We’re considering removing the weekday two-hour lunchtime closure at Huntington Library.

Our total weekly opening hours would stay the same, with the library open:
🕥 Monday–Friday: 10:30am–4:00pm
🕤 Saturdays: 9:30am–12:30pm
The library will still be closed on Wednesdays.

We’d like to hear what this change would mean for you. Please take a couple of minutes to complete our short, anonymous survey by 19 July.
