THE ROLE

This is a new role to the company, so you will bring an entrepreneurial spirit, passion and drive! The Business Development Manager will look after the sales, events and promotion of Chaophraya.

As Business Development Manager, you will proactively drive the sales growth from new clients within the corporate, meetings and events markets. You will focus on developing the business predominantly within the local area. As Business Development Manager, you will be the face and name of the restaurant and need to be 100% proactive. You will enjoy being out and about visiting clients and agents as well as conducting show rounds, networking and attending local industry events. The Business Development Manager will have a clear understanding of the needs of the restaurant in order to develop and implement the sales strategy to meet its needs.

The Business Development Manager role is ideal for an existing proactive Sales Manager or Meetings and Events Manager who wants to be proactive within ideally a venue.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

·Gaining cold leads and converting to repeat business
·Working closely with the Business Manager’s and head receptionist’s ensuring customer service and branding is kept inline.
·Embrace and own the core values
·Using the brand toolkit to assist you and Business manager on improving sales
·Own the local marketing in all sites creating innovative and effect plans which will drive results
·External event management planning and delivering with the support of business manager
·Carrying out consumer research in your local areas and reporting findings to the Head of Sales and Marketing
Ensuring consistency of brand is delivered through all channels

IDEAL CANDIDATE

·Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
·Calm & confident
·Excellent communicator both verbally and in writing
·Willing to travel
·Ability to work with a wide range of people from different part of the business and external companies
·Drive for results
·Highly creative with the ability to think out of box
·Organised and thorough
·Self-starter
·Hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.

This role will involve a small amount of weekend working and requires flexible working times.
