Based at Whixley we are within easy reach of Harrogate, Wetherby and York one mile off the A59 on the B6265 towards Boroughbridge. Here at Tancred Farm Shop we specialise in quality meat and produce. What can’t be grown on the farm is sourced as locally as possible. The Coffee shop offers an excellent opportunity to call in for breakfast or a quick cup of tea and a cake or perhaps even to stay for

lunch. Our meals are freshly made to order and homemade cakes are served all day, along with a large selection of coffees, teas and soft drinks. The welcome you'll receive will be as warm and hearty as the food you'll be served. Our Coffee shop has also recently been awarded with the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence.

Specially made today Peking pork fillet parcels.
These are a portion of pork fillet stuffed with a ginger, garlic and shallot stuffing with a pinch of sichuan pepper. They are covered with a rasher of back bacon and coated with a Peking glaze which has soy sauce and Chinese spices
They are delicious 😋 😍
All in one chicken roasts 🐔 if you are cooking indoors?

Spatchcock chicken either Garlic butter or Piri-piri these are excellent either in the oven or on the barbie
Plenty of chickens in stock this week sorry to anyone who couldn't have one last weekend when we ran out It was like the Delia effect but I thought she had retired? Everyone wanted a chicken 🐔!!
Thanks to everyone who came for Mary's "Mama mia pizzeria" she did a good few in the end mostly takeaways. Mine was extremely good 👍
Next pop up is steak night Friday 26th of June for your calendar.
Next Saturday is oakwood farmers market and in between Angela and I are going to the Lincolnshire show which is of course the spiritual home of the Lincoln red cattle that you see in one of the fields behind the farm shop. A bit of a bus man's holiday as we are doing a Barbecue for the Lincoln red stockmans club 😋 😋 😋
Busy, busy then but we like it that way so hopefully we will see you soon!

Barbecue extravaganza!!
Hi all. We have been busy here at Tancred farm shop getting ready for another busy Bbq weekend 😋
As well as the regular classics we have some
Beefy greek gyros, these are made with 2/3 beef 1/3 pork mixed with olives 🫒 and tomatoes 🍅 then seasoned with garlic, onion and oregano they are delicious 😋
We have also made some Tuscan Catherine wheels which are pork fillet flattened out and rolled with sausage meat then glazed with tomato and Italian herbs 🌿
Bangkok bangers which are a Cumberland ring glazed with a aromatic Thai concoction.
Braai south African sosaties which are kebabs with a Malaysian curry glazed delicious 😋
The other more regular stuff
Beef, lamb and pork and apple burgers also some chilli 🌶 beef burgers if you like the 🥵 🔥 heat
Kebabs in Mexican beef
Minty lamb
Chicken kebabs 🐔 with Garlic and herb
Ginger lemon and chilli 🌶
Tandoori and bbq
Chicken wings with buffalo, cajun or bbq sauce
Spatchcock chicken 🐔 😋 😍
Spare ribs
Oriental salt and pepper belly strips
Sausages
Steaks
Etc etc

When is our next pop up restaurant event I've been asked well Mama mia it's pizza night 12th of June!
Thanks to all of you who came over the bank Holidays weekend. Wow you haven't half got through some barbecue stuff between you!!!
We had a kebab mountain in the cold room Friday and were having to make more Sunday can you believe.?
SPARE ribs well there's none spare now 🐖 🐷 Don't worry there will be when we have cured some more bacon 😉 😋 😜
You're on it with the sausages and burgers 🍔 as well but that's not unusual we do sell lots of those year round 😉
Well we are doing it all again for this weekend, thanks very much for your continued support you are amazing 👏 🤩

Super special summer sizzling skewers or sensational spicy sausages 😋 ?
Well that's easy for me to say but what are you having for tea today or tomorrow (bank holiday Monday)
Take advantage of the beautiful sunny weather 😎
Mary has made up some bbq packs and we have kebabs galore.
Check out previous posts for some more choices or pop in and have a look 😉
See if you can keep Dean busy with something unusual so far he's done a big square piece of flat brisket for bbq smoking, some belly pork for a porchetta, some Barnsley chops and some skirt steak amongst more regular items!
Remember 10 till 4pm today and tomorrow.

Fire up the BBQ.
The weather is set to sizzle for the first proper bbq weekend of the year and we've been busy getting ready.
Check out the pictures we've been making alsorts of goodies so you can put on a feast!
Just to name a few here we go!
