☕️ WE’RE HIRING AT WHELDRAKES ☕️

We have a couple of part-time positions available to join our friendly team!

Front of House Assistant

We’re a fully table-service café, so confidence, a great personality, and excellent customer service skills are key — and could be what gets you the job!

Your role will include:
☕ Taking orders using our EPOS tablets & till
☕ Seating, greeting, and interacting with customers
☕ Clearing and resetting tables
☕ Cleaning and washing dishes
☕ General café duties you’d expect in a busy independent café

We’re looking for someone who:
✅ Has a positive work ethic
✅ Enjoys working with people
✅ Thrives in a fast-paced environment
✅ Has catering or hospitality experience

💷 Above minimum wage (dependent on experience and discussed at interview)

📅 Part-time weekend position & weekday coverage –

🔞 Applicants must be 18+ due to equipment and licensing requirements.

Weekends are made for catching up with friends, family, and treating yourself. ☕🍰

We’ve recently launched our new lunch menu (don’t worry, your breakfast and brunch favourites aren’t going anywhere! 😉).

We’ve given some of our classics the signature Wheldrake’s twist, just how we like them-
alongside a few exciting new additions on our specials boards. Keep your eyes peeled for more menu highlights over the few days!!…

For now though, the standout for me has to be our Pastrami Melt 🤤

Loaded with tender moist Beef pastrami, Dijon mustard, melted Emmental cheese, crunchy gherkins, and fresh rocket, all tucked inside buttery toasted Little Arras sourdough. It’s rich, packed with flavour, and has just enough kick to keep your tastebuds interested.

🚨 Meet the Team – Evie Perks 🚨

A big Wheldrake’s welcome to Evie Perks… soon to be PC Perks! 👮‍♀️

Evie is currently studying to become a police officer, and if her personality is anything to go by, she’ll fit those boots perfectly.

Fun fact: she literally uses the word “literally”… literally all the time. 😂

When she’s not keeping us on our toes at the café, she loves knitting – and she’s pretty darn talented at it too. 🧶

In the short time Evie has been with us, she’s shown a fantastic work ethic, a caring nature, and a willingness to get stuck in. She’s already become a valued part of the team, and we’re lucky to have her.
