We serve fresh locally sourced British food, quality traditional handpulled ales, fine wines and good old Yorkshire hospitality. The squadron was equipped with the Lysander aircraft until 1942. The Lysander's were employed in cooperation with army ground forces to carry out reconnaissance
work as well as artillery spotting, they were also to patrol in case of invasion and to drop mustard gas. Times have changed over the years and the Lysander arms is now a freehouse and independently owned pub & restaurant, serving fresh locally sourced british food, quality traditional handpulled ales, fine wines and good old Yorkshire hospitality. We are conveniently located just on the outskirts of York, with on-site car parking. We serve meals in our Brasserie Restaurant Wednesday's to Friday's with both hot and cold lunches served from 12noon to 2pm Saturday 12 - 8 pm and Sunday with our mouth watering carvery. Our evening menu is available from 5.30pm until 9pm, where you can choose from a wide range of delicious starters, main courses and specials.
