Paros, Cyclades, Greece. This April during the orthodox Easter week, at the same time as the catholic Easter festivities, there will be a new italian kitchen restaurant opening on Paros. BuonVento is located on the east coast of Paros on a hill overlooking the bay of Mesada very close to the port of Piso Livadi and Chrisi Akti beach. The idea behind the project of two italian entrepreneurs with t

he passion for cooking and hospitality, Massimiliano Ruocco and Gianluca Maggiulli together with greek businessman and musician Panos Stamboglis, is made of simple cooking and well defined tastes. “Fantasy is not the correct term to describe my dishes”, says Massimiliano Ruocco. “Imagination is the correct term”. An imagination rooted in Massimiliano’s father's family, native of Ravello on the Amalfi coast of Italy. The basic ingredients for a simple yet imaginative cuisine are all there, endless possible combinations and the wind…the good, warm engaging wind of the Cyclades is the melting element. “The restaurant chose its name on his own” says Gianluca, passionate about hospitality but also fond of sailing and windsurfing, “Massimiliano absentmindedly at some point, told me that his father, "Vento” Bonaventura, his friend and confidant, has always encouraged him to follow his passion and imagination and the seal was automatic! "BuonVento" will be the name!”
Neapolitan cuisine, organic ingredients primarily of Paros, some italian top quality products, Cycladic tradition and Greek/Italian hospitality. A remarkable combination!

Τον ερχόμενο Απρίλιο, και συγκεκριμένα το Πάσχα, ανοίγει στο νησί μας ένα νέο εστιατόριο ιταλικής κουζίνας, το BuonVento. Το BuonVento βρίσκεται στα ανατολικά του νησιού, στον κόλπο τής Μεσσάδας και είναι κοντα στο Πίσω Λιβάδι και την παραλία της Χρυσής Ακτής, αντικρύζοντας την Νάξο και τις Μικρές Κυκλάδες.
Η ιδέα που ενέπνευσε του δύο ιταλούς επιχειρηματίες, εραστές της καλής κουζίνας και της περιποίησης, τον σεφ Massimiliano Ruocco και τον πολιτικό μηχανικό Gianluca Maggiulli, μαζί με τον Έλληνα επιχειρηματία και μουσικό Πάνο Σταμπόγλη, ήταν η απλή κουζίνα και οι ευδιάκριτες γεύσεις. “Η φαντασία δεν είναι η λέξη που περιγράφει σωστά τα πιάτα μου ” λέει ο Massimiliano Ruocco “ο σωστός όρος θα ήταν οραματισμός”. Ένας οραματισμός που έχει τις ρίζες του στην πατρογονική γη του Massimiliano Ruocco που είναι το Ravello, στην Ακτή του Αμάλφι.
Τα βασικά συστατικά για μια απλή, αλλά και μεστή φαντασίας κουζίνα υπάρχουν όλα, οι συνδυασμοί τους είναι αμέτρητοι. Κι ερχεται ο Ανεμος, (Vento) ο καλός (Buon,) ο ούριος άνεμος, ο κυκλαδίτικος αγέρας που μας τυλίγει τρυφερά, όλα αυτά να τα “παντρεψει”.
“Το ίδιο το εστιατόριο μας έδωσε το όνομά του,” λέει ο Gianluca, λάτρης τής φιλοξενίας, αλλά και της ιστιοπλοΐας και του windsurfing, “Σε μία συζητηση που είχαμε, ο Massimiliano μού είπε τυχαία ότι ο πατέρας του ο Vento (Bonaventura) Ruocco -που όμως υπήρξε για τον σεφ και ο πιστός του φίλος- τον ενθάρρυνε να ακολουθεί πάντα το πάθος του και το όραμα του. Έτσι η σφραγίδα μπήκε από μόνη της! Και το όνομα αυτού: BuonVento!”
Ναπολιτάνικη κουζίνα, βιολογικά συστατικά παριανής προέλευσης, μερικά ιταλικά προἳόντα ποιότητας, κυκλαδίτικη παράδοση και ελληνοιταλική φιλοξενία. Ένας συνδυασμός εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέρων! Αξίζει να τον δοκιμάσετε.

On June 12, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, BuonVento will inaugurate its new lounge area dedicated to drinks and the Italian-style aperitivo:

Museum BuonVento

An authentic and relaxed place where you can stop after a day at the beach, immersed in the unique atmosphere of Paros.

At Museum BuonVento, you can meet friends to start your evening with an aperitivo and then choose whether to continue with dinner at the restaurant.

While everyone is striving to create increasingly modern spaces, we prefer to focus on roots and memories.

The heart of this new space is the ancient rural museum Pariani Katikià, created in 2014 as a gesture of gratitude to Greece and Paros for welcoming us and inspiring us to stay. Today, it is finally open and being enjoyed as it was always meant to be.

The old Katikià comes back to life through your stories, encounters, and summer adventures, among loved ones, new friendships, and moments worth remembering.

A space open to everyone, without labels or distinctions, LGBTQIA+ community 🏳️‍🌈 is who we are and love so no need to specify this is your place—a place to relax, feel free, and share the pleasure of being together.

On June 12, we will offer a small complimentary aperitivo to anyone who would like to celebrate the opening of this space with us.
