Meet our chef, Alexandros Charalabopoulos ✨
Alexandros Charalampopoulos is a graduate of the Anavyssos School of Tourism Professions, where he studied Hotel & Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts.
Through the Culinary Arts Department and with the support of the Greek Ministry of Development, he was awarded a scholarship to attend the prestigious “Le Cordon Bleu” of the Culinary Academy in London.
He has served as Chef de Cuisine at several renowned restaurants, including Olive Garden at the TITANIA Hotel, Kastri Bistro at the DOMOTEL KASTRI Hotel (recipient of two FNL Best Restaurant Awards stars and an Athinorama Greek Cuisine Award), and SENSE Restaurant at AthensWas Hotel (also awarded two FNL Best Restaurant Awards stars, a TOP NOTCH distinction, and an Athinorama Greek Cuisine Award).
During his tenure at SENSE, the restaurant was also honored with a Michelin Plate distinction from the world-renowned Michelin Guide.
Currently, he holds the position of Executive Chef for ANEMI HOTELS (AthensWas and Anemi Hotel – SENSE Restaurants). In parallel, he serves as the Food & Styling Chef for MasterChef Greece and as the Consulting Chef of THEION restaurant in London. He has also held the same consulting role for several years at MAZI in London and Jolly Joker in Nicosia.
Alexandros is the co-author of the professional culinary book SENSES (Sold Out Publications), MAZI – Modern Greek Food (Mitchell Beazley Publishing), and the educational handbook used by the Culinary Arts departments of Praxis Vocational Training Institute (I.I.E.K. Praxis).
