26 years of marriage calls for a celebration, so we headed to Backyard Bar and Grill. We could have gone somewhere fancy with pretty lights (and you know I love pretty lights!), but we chose familiarity and excellent homestyle cooking instead.

Because 26 years isn't about the hype. It’s about the solid, steady, and beautifully predictable foundation we’ve built—woven with love, respect, and honoring one another.

Huge shoutout to the wonderful owners of Backyard Bar and Grill, too. It’s a beautiful thing when local food family supports each other, and the meal did make our hearts sing!!

They say no man stands alone, and this week has proven that more than ever!!! A massive thank you to my incredible team for stepping up and keeping the fire burning while I’ve been recovering from surgery. 🕶️

Because I’m still taking things a little slow, we have a limited supply of patties available this Saturday. Thank you for bearing with us while I get back on track—we’ll be back to full steam next week!

This week's menu: jerk chicken, Oxtail and beans, spicy pork and Escovitch Fish, all served with rice and peas and creamed potatoes.

Quality takes time, and we’ve put the time in so you don’t have to. Join us this Saturday at 172 Sheriff Street (next to Survival Supermarket) for a lunch that honors tradition.

The Menu:

Authentic Patties: Beef/chicken/veggie ($680), Ackee and Saltfish ($950).

The Lunch Box: Jerk Chicken ($2,000), Oxtail & Beans ($2,800), Spicy Pork.($3;000), Escovitch Fish ($3,000) ....all served with rice and peas, creamed potatoes and garden salad.
