The long awaited reveal of Portugal's viral pastéis de nata chain, Manteigaria, is finally upon us! And with it, comes the sweet aroma of their delicious tarts.

The whiff of milk, sugar, cinnamon, eggs, flour and lemon can be picked up on Queen's road, culminating in a filling that's indulgently sweet and flows in your mouth. Combined with the crisp but light texture of the pastry and you have a landmark destination on your Central travels.

Officially opening tomorrow, your window to getting these viral treats open from 10AM - 8PM (10AM - 2PM for Jun. 2). Be ready to rethink your rankings of egg tarts in Hong Kong!

A new restaurant has just opened in North Point that's perfect for those tired of Japanese sashimi.

Minyoung Fresh Fish Factory brings Korean vigor and flavour to the sea. It's sashimi, often referred to as Hwe, relies on ultra-fresh, recently caught fish that are sliced and prepped in chunkier slices, offering a perfect bite to pair with boisterous spices and sauces.

You can even wrap those fish slices in lettuce or mint leaves, similar to how you would at a KBBQ, expanding the rich Korean culinary experiences for Hong Kong to enjoy.

A few years ago, raves were only held in dark and cramped rooms in Hong Kong. Now, coffee, dim sum, pizza, and gelato raves are omnipresent in the social scene here.

People are keen to connect with others over music in the day-time, sometimes even sober, and rave differently, avoiding a hangover all together.

With venues like Lin Heung Lau hosting two sold-out dim sum raves in May before closing their Central store, all types of F&B venues are jumping on the rave train.

Is this is a trend that is on its way out or the future for how people party, eat, and drink?

At Fo Tan, casual Hong Kong dining has taken an Eastern European twist with the opening of Borsch Spot.

The whole portion of a homely European food culture features on the menu with countless borsch variations available at this easy-going restaurant. Don’t expect a Hong Kong-style borch soup here, this famous dish is cooked the way half of Europe loves it, from Ukraine to Estonia to Hungarian and to Slovakia.

We sunk our spoons into the signature borsch soup with beef and the Hungarian beef goulash with a heartier hit of salty curry-like flavours.
