We’re not saying goodbye without a proper send-off! 😎 Join us to celebrate all the good times we had together in our cozy home on Monday, 21 April – our final day of operations as Hjem. From 6–9pm on the day, we’ll be selling various items that we have left here (select furniture, plateware, kitchen items, etc.) so make sure to come check it out to take a piece of Hjem home with you!

We’ll be serving our usual Nordic bites and drinks will be at happy hour prices so we can all toast to our final day together before our new chapter begins ❤️ We are also excited to be welcoming Tobes () back on the decks to soundtrack the evening with some funky house grooves! Come on through – here’s to the memories and for more fun times ahead 🪩🕺🏻

Three years of making Hjem a home and it’s time we make space for something more. 🥹 We’ve always been about letting Hjem organically take root and bloom; from the day we started, we made it a point to ensure that we had the conceptual capacity for all its potential permutations.

Alas, the time has come for such endeavour — as our wooden doors close, another opens anew. 𝟐𝟏 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 will mark the end of Hjem’s chapter on 161 Hollywood Road, but also the start of something we’ve been working hard on — something new, built on the backbones of all that Hjem has forged.

We are so proud of what we’ve made of this space! We couldn’t be more grateful for all the friendships and connections we made along the way – alongside you all, we’ve thrown fun parties with DJ sets to toast to special moments, hosted cozy book clubs, celebrated Nordic holidays close to our hearts, and of course, regularly partnered with likeminded local businesses and organizations that mean something to us. It’s simply not Hjem without you, and we thank you for all your support thus far. 🫶🏼

We’re here for yet another month, so come by for a cuppa and a chat – and we can’t wait to share soon too what the future holds for this humble abode. 😌

Last week, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce for a special lunch gathering with the Norwegian State Minister! A big thank you to NorCham for planning this wonderful afternoon with us for the community — swipe for a classic Smørrebrød lunch that we whipped up on the day for a taste of home that we’ve grown to love 🤗
