Coffee Club began in 2012, when the innovative Paolo La'O set up a small club for a group of friends that hung out at lunch to talk and of course, drink coffee. In 2013, the club was expanded to the 6th floor lounge, where it served free coffee to basically anyone who wanted it. It also expanded to serve more variations of the classic brew, from syrups to spices. However, Paolo left as a senior in
2014, and Shing Chi Ho, Jeremy Leung, and Ryan Sit took over, to continue the dream of serving students through making drinks, as a blessing to the community. Even though one of the original intentions of the club was for friends to sit down and chat their worries away and for customers to make new friends through coffee, serving and experimenting with drinks is equally as rewarding. Coffee Club is located in the 6th floor lounge EVERY lunch time, and the drinks served range from lattes to green tea to hot chocolate (depends on what supplies are available, and the amount of money gained from donations). Yes, the club runs on donations, but the donations will not be enforced or mandatory; it is simply giving from the heart, and this is one thing the club stands for: love and passion between the club, the coffee, and the students. Feel free to drop by, and taste some of the exciting inventions from the club, or savour some of the classic brews and drinks!
