It is all coming to an end. After packing and cleaning for a week, we just passed the keys to landlord today. January was busy, happy yet emotional final month. Lots of customers and friends came to say their farewell and many more than a few times! Some customers gave us gifts. Some customers wrote us cards. Some said they had followed us from Qb, Central, Wanchai to SYP! Some told us that they were so saddened that Verde MAR is closing down. A family who had dined with us almost weekly since 2015 told us that Verde MAR has been their favourite restaurant in HK, that their girls love our food (we basically saw them growing up!) and there are no other places that can compare. As an owner of Verde MAR, nothing more satisfying than hearing comments like this. I am beyond grateful. Thank you very much for the continuous support over the past 15 years.
I set out to become an entrepreneur and want to create value in the world. I had moments that I doubted whether I was doing things that mattered. I thank myself for not giving up no matter how hard it was and followed my heart to make the right decisions. Today I am proud to say that Verde MAR has created values and make a difference to the world where our food touched hearts. This heart-melting card from our customers put a perfect ending to our restaurant journey. Thank you so so so much. Our heart is full.
