Bird divination (also known as spirit bird divination or bird fortune telling) is a long-standing folk divination method. Its core feature is that a trained bird (usually a sparrow) picks out one of many fortune slips from a collection, and the fortune teller then interprets the slip to interpret the querent’s fortune, love life, or career. In Hong Kong, this street divination culture was once very common in night markets and street stalls, but with the changing times, only a very small number of masters still uphold this tradition.

擔雀仔占卜(又稱靈雀占卜或鳥占)是一種流傳已久的民間傳統占卜算命方法,其核心特色是由一隻受過訓練的靈鳥(通常為禾雀)代替人手,在眾多籤文中叼出其中一張,再由命理師傅依據籤文解答問卜者的運程、姻緣或事業。在香港,這種街頭占卜文化曾在各大夜市地攤十分常見,但隨著時代變遷,現時全港僅剩下極少數的師傅仍在堅持這門傳統。

Meet Chef Arnold!

Having worked in kitchens in Sydney, Arnold brings fiery passion for Cantonese cooking back to his homeland Hong Kong and he is currently in charge of the Cantonese barbecue section at Ho Lee F**k.

Aside from cooking with a big heart, Arnold also brings refreshing fun energy to the team with his uplifting spirit and humor! Making sure everyone is taken care of and ready for action for a busy nights service.
