Long misunderstood yet deeply vibrant, Kowloon has always been a hub of culture, creativity, and nightlife. From cha chaan tengs and dai pai dongs to late-night music venues and bustling markets, its stories continue to inspire a new generation of bartenders and creatives.
At Avoca, Kowloon has always been at the heart of what we do. With signature cocktails inspired by food and drink creations originating mostly in Kowloon, including beloved street-side flavours to the everyday rituals that long defined life on this side of the harbour. It’s the authentic heritage of this part of the city that continues to inspire us, both behind the bar and beyond.
To kick off the series celebrating people and ideas shaping Kowloon’s evolving drinking culture, we are partnering with CLAN & CO Community Bar .andco .
Deeply rooted in Yau Ma Tei, Clan & Co has become one of Kowloon’s most distinctive community-driven bars, known for transforming local ingredients, herbal traditions, and neighbourhood stories into inventive cocktails that feel unmistakably Hong Kong. Their approach to bartending goes beyond drinks—it’s cultural storytelling in a glass.
On 12 June and for one night only, Clan & Co collaborates with Avoca, celebrating the flavours, creativity, and Kowloon’s Community.
Featuring Dennis Mak , Co-founder of Magnolia Lab, Yiu Hei of Clan & Co, and Avoca’s Head Bartender Rolf Flaminiano alongside the Avoca team, each showcasing their perspective of the Kowloon spirit and culture.
Expect nostalgic bites including Tai On’s signature egg tarts and pineapple jam buns, plus a Canto-pop DJ set—all in tribute to the Kowloon we call home.
