It brings a completely Peranakan’s feel to Teuan Resto, from Hainanese immigrants who initially introduced sweet curd instead of fruit-flavored jam on British ships. Butter-filled bread with pandan-scented coconut cream is served in two styles, served complete with a choice of typical Peranakan drinks, half-boiled eggs mixed with pepper and sweet soy sauce. Dipping and enjoying it is their tradition.
