The Art of Our Penjor
As Galungan approaches, preparations begin with a tradition deeply woven into the cultural landscape of Bali.
From gathering natural materials to carefully assembling each element by hand, the making of a penjor, that symbolizes Mount Agung, reflects gratitude, devotion, and respect for traditions passed down through generations.
This year, our farmers come together to craft and raise our penjors at Begawan Biji using our First Harvest Mansur Heritage paddy stalks - a meaningful addition that honours both the harvest and the agricultural traditions we work to preserve.
Today, it stands at our entrances as a symbol of gratitude, prosperity, and the enduring connection between culture, community, and the land.
Rahajeng Rahina Galungan and Kuningan to all who celebrate. 🌾
