A little question for our cake lovers 🖤🎂

How do you feel about black cakes and other bold, brightly coloured designs?

We’ve noticed they’re becoming more and more popular, and we absolutely understand why — they look striking, modern and make a real statement.

At the same time, we think it’s important to mention something many people don’t realise: achieving deep black colours and vibrant shades requires a significant amount of food colouring.

All colourings we use are food-safe and approved for use in baking. However, bright colours, especially black, can temporarily colour your tongue, lips or teeth. This is completely normal and expected with heavily coloured cakes.

So if you're choosing a black or brightly coloured design, just be prepared for a colourful smile afterwards 😊
