We’re now ready for the summer.
Last weekend was special for us.
We had a soft opening on the Friday until Sunday.
We kept it relatively quiet.
Honestly, we didn’t know what the reception would be like…
But the last few months we’ve really just been trying to get the bar and restaurant up and going, while bringing some of our ideas to life.
So we expected it to be a slow burning weekend.
But, at opening time at 5 o’clock on our first day..
We were met by locals and friends who were right in the door to support us.
It then continued for the whole weekend.
We had people from all around the community drop in to say hello, grab a bite to eat and wish us well.
Thank you!
On the menu, last weekend we introduced our new healthy Farm Bowls and we’ve been getting great reviews.
Healthy, tasty and high protein is the goal.
For the meat eaters..
We just had a new delivery from the butchers to add to our previous.
A big thing for us is having the best quality burger we can.
It’s something we want to put a stamp on this summer.
We’re constantly looking to improve it.
To start, all of them have come from our own family farm..
Meaning that the shorthorn beef is grass fed, and it’s certified organic.
Over the next couple of weeks we will be bringing you through our ideas and plans as well as updates with what is going on.
We will also fill you in on the craic around getting a 200 year family run pub, back up and going while trying to add a fresh take.
