We are passionate about good food and good service and that is what we strive for every customer to experience. We are open Wednesday to Sunday. Wednesday-Friday we are open from 4:00pm offering evening/ night time dining. On Sundays we offer Sunday Lunch from 12-4. House Of Plates have a bar serving fine wines and craft beers and Prosecco cocktails. We will also serve specialized coffees and teas

. The restaurant is owned and run by head chef Barry Ralph. Barry is an award winning chef with over 18 years’ experience running restaurants. We have created food partnerships with local suppliers and artisan growers and we use the best seasonal ingredients available to create outstanding dishes for each season of the year.

You’ve probably walked past this one dozens of times without noticing it.

Today's wild edible is the Cuckoo Flower, named because it appears around the same time as the first cuckoos arrive each year. You'll often find it growing in damp meadows and along hedgerows at this time of year.

Part of the mustard family, both the leaves and flowers are edible, bringing a peppery kick that's often compared to watercress. The delicate flowers make a beautiful garnish, while the leaves are a great addition to salads when you're looking for a little extra flavour.

Another reminder that some of the most interesting ingredients are growing right under our feet.

You probably remember this one from childhood. Wild Food Wednesdays 🌿

Known as Sticky Backs or Goosegrass, it's the plant that somehow always found its way stuck to your jumper, your trousers, or someone else's back. 😄

While it's not one to eat raw, Goosegrass can be cooked and added to stews and other dishes. It has also traditionally been chewed to help soothe toothaches and mouth sores.

One of those plants that many of us walk past every day without realising just how useful it can be.
