A Traditional Victorian Dublin Pub with great food and drink, where when you are done for the day you can retire upstairs and stay the night in one of their beautifully appointed en-suite rooms. Treat yourself to an authentic taste of Ireland at O'Neills Victorian Pub and Townhouse, a well-positioned pub and inn, offering attractive affordable accommodation in central Dublin. Immerse yourself in t

he inimitable charms of Dublin, which offers an abundance of museums, pubs, galleries and shops to enjoy. O'Neills Victorian Pub and Townhouse offers a wonderful hotel alternative located on the Victorian Pearse Street, and oozes period grace and elegance. This attractive and lovingly maintained pub and inn has been run by generations of the same family, and offers a cosy and cheerful ambience through every season

In 1911 Michael O'Neill, a Tipperary man, came to Dublin on the lookout for a suitable pub to purchase. After careful consideration he chose Great Brunswick Street in Dublin 2 (now Pearse St). Located between the bustling docks & the busy train station at Westland Row it had the perfect mix of dock workers & travellers for his business to thrive at that time. These were politically turbulent times in Ireland and the immediate area was a hive of rebel activity. Tipperary rebels Dan Breen & Sean Treacy often sought shelter above his pub, they were joined at times by Michael Collins & others during the War of Independence (1918-1922). From those early days he grew his business which has sustained four generations of the O'Neill family. Today, Hugh, Gerry & Maurice O'Neill Jr carry on his vision by welcoming patrons from all over the world. Very few family firms last over 100 years, so we salute our forefathers for their tenacity in keeping this business going through those difficult times, and especially Michael for his wise choice all those years ago. Michael O'Neill (D. 1933)

🏳️‍🌈 Happy Dublin Pride Weekend! 🏳️‍🌈
We’re excited to welcome everyone celebrating Dublin Pride tomorrow!
We’ll be open from 1pm serving great Irish food, creamy pints of Guinness, and plenty of post-parade refreshments. The parade passes just a 5-minute walk from O’Neills on Lombard Street, so if you’re watching from there or the keys, pop in afterwards. Pride is a celebration of love, equality, diversity and the freedom for everyone to be themselves. It’s also a reminder of the progress that’s been made, and the importance of continuing to build a community where everyone feels safe, respected and included. Happy Pride from all of us at O’Neills! 🌈❤️

We’re absolutely delighted to feature in DW’s new video, How to Enjoy an Irish Pub. The team spent time with us here at O’Neills and spoke with our bar manager, Ciaran Ward, about the traditions, stories and sense of community that make Irish pubs so unique.
They also took a look around our guesthouse above the pub, including our Michael Collins Room, named after the Irish national hero who is said to have stayed here during his time in Dublin.
As one of Dublin’s longest-established pubs, we’re incredibly proud to help showcase authentic Irish pub culture and hospitality to viewers around the world.

Grab a pint, settle in and enjoy the watch. 🍺☘️
