Waterstown parkrun Dublin Waterstown parkrun is a FREE weekly 5km event for runners and walkers of all abilities, which takes place every Saturday at 9:30 in Waterstown Park.

A free weekly timed 5K run/walk, 9.30am every Saturday in Waterstown Park, Palmerstown. 5 mins from M50 (J7)
Everyone is welcome to walk, jog, run or volunteer! 🌳 It is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or

female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy this beautiful park and get physically active into the bargain. We want to encourage people to jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register before your first ever parkrun. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once! Every week we grab a post parkrun coffee in The Coach House Cafe located 2 minutes drive or 5 minutes walk from Waterstown parkrun. This is a beautiful cafe and is well worth a visit for its comfortable and relaxed ambience. The Coach House is situated in the middle of Palmerstown village fronting onto the Old Lucan Road (Next to the Ulster Bank). So whether you are a complete novice looking to get yourself started on your own "running journey" or a seasoned athlete wanting to use this as a part of your training schedule, you’re welcome to come along and join us.

Well done to our solo milestone parkrunner this week

We had 81 participants and 12 volunteers at Waterstown parkrun number 541 this morning. Congratulations to Paul Graham who completed his 50th parkrun and to Robert Francis who has now clocked up an amazing 300 volunteer credits. We had visitors from Clonmel, Naas and Leeds and also had park runners from Poland, Argentina and Italy. We hope you all enjoyed our beautiful park. See you again next week when Brendan Brady will be your Run Director.

Two milestones to celebrate this week, one parkrunner and one volunteer

Sharon is a regular Barcode Scanner at our event and has been parkrunning since 2016 and has clocked up 163 parkruns across 20 locations.

Another week of our Juniors reaching a big 5k milestone .Seanán can add his 100 parkruns to his 45 junior parkruns and a brilliant 15 volunteers credits too all before the age of 10.

It is always great to see new faces on the course and in the volunteer team and this week we welcomed three.

Our 77 parkrunners parkwalkers and 14 volunteers were very happy to see much cooler conditions for our 5K this morning.

Our volunteer team were brilliant as usual and among them we had First Timers Caroline, Sharon celebrating her 25 volunteer milestone, visiting volunteers Noel who took the train from Vicarstown parkrun and Kieran from Kilkenny Countryside Park junior parkrun who was our 900th volunteer this morning

This morning one in ten of our parkrunners and volunteers were first time visitors to our event, with Kilkenny parkrun Wexford Racecourse parkrun Corkagh parkrun Cabinteely parkrun and Brickfields parkrun all featuring.

Finally, it was a special parkrun for junior Seanán L.D. celebrating his 100th milestone with us this morning
