I am delighted to announce that O’briens Galway will be sponsoring Irish rugby international Stacy Hanley on her trip to Canada in October for a World Series qualifier vs Nigeria!
Should they succeed they will play in a final for a place in the World Cup next year held in Australia.
Unfortunately even though these ladies are representing our country overseas there is actually no national funding available for these athletes so it is all self funded which is a travesty in itself but that’s another days work
Stacy, who plays for Galway tribes in rugby league , will be flying their flag as well as the Irish flag when they take on Nigeria

It gives me more pleasure to be sponsoring Stacy as she’s actually my sister in law. We have seen her grow from a girl with an interest in rugby to a woman that has represented her province and her country and we could not be more proud of her.
She’s a credit to herself as she’s had to put up with a lot of knocks and keeps coming back!!
She’s a huge role model to all young girls out there that anything you put your mind to you can achieve it but she’s especially a role model for my young girl who looks up to her no end & now I take it I’ll be standing at the side of many more rugby pitches in the future THANKS STACY!

We have decided to close our Mervue store this week due to a number of staff being off as close contacts and hence we are unable to offer a proper service. We plan to reopen on Monday 10th January. Many thanks for your support.
