Dear customers
It is with a very heavy heart that I have to announce that Uptown cafe closed its doors today October 11th. This is a decision that I have carefully considered and it is certainly not a decision that I have taken lightly. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the suppliers who worked with us since the cafe opened. I also want to thank sincerely the loyal and extremely hardworking staff who have given so much to keep the cafe running day to day over the years. We simply could not have done it without you and I wish each and every one of you the very best in your future endeavours. Finally, I want to thank you, the customers, for the continued support you have given Manus during his time in Uptown Cafe. Best wishes to you all. Bernie and family.

We would like to thank all our customers, friends and suppliers for their support this past week following the tragic death of our managing director Manus ‘Mandy’ Kelly, RIP on 23rd June, 2019.

Our thoughts and prayers are offered to Manus’s wife Bernie, his children, parents, brothers, sisters and extended family and friends at this sad time.

In honour and memory of Manus Kelly we will continue.

Manus' funeral mass will take place in St Columbas Church, Glenswilly at 12 noon on Thursday followed by burial in Conwal Cemetery.

Manus’ remains will repose at his home at Drumacanoo, Churchill, from 11am this morning, Tuesday June 25th.

House strictly private until that time.

Family time please from 11pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Those intending to attend the wake and funeral of the late Manus ‘Mandy’ Kelly are respectively asked to use the Car Parks and Park & Ride facilities which will be in place.

Directional signs and marshals will be in place at the various locations to assist mourners.

TRAFFIC NOTICE IN RELATION TO THE WAKE AND FUNERAL OF THE LATE MANUS ‘MANDY’ KELLY, RIP.

The death has occurred of Manus ‘Mandy’ Kelly.
Manus’ remains will repose at his home at Drumacanoo, Churchill, from 11am today, Tuesday June 25th.
Funeral from there on Thursday morning for 12 noon Mass in St Columba's church Glenswilly followed by burial in Conwal Cemetery.
Family flowers only please.
Family time from 11pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.
