Humbled to have gotten a chance to recreate our signature paithani saree cake!

This technique is extremely technical, takes a lot time to get the colour and layers right!

Paithani Saris are these lustrous, exquisitly woven saris using pure silk and zari. Originating from Paithan near Aurangabad in Maharashtra. There is generous use of Zari, which is gold, bright and contrasting colours to depict motifs - commonly illustrated are birds, peacocks, lotuses, vines and flowers.

An authentic paithani sari looks the same on both sides and that's the beauty and intricacy of it! Just magnificent!

P.S. This cake has no fondant!
