Since I dusted off my mixing bowls, warmed up the oven, and let the scent of something sweet fill the kitchen.
But some people are too special not to bake for.

This bundt was made for a double birthday celebration —
A date syrup and almond flour cake,
Finished with golden ribbons of salted caramel and a scatter of toasted walnuts.
Soft, rich, a little nutty, a little sticky… just like friendship, maybe?

There’s a certain kind of quiet joy that only baking brings,
And I’ve missed it more than I realized.
It feels good to be back.
