The newly coined Bauja café is conveniently located within the Whale Safari booking office. Bauja is a new take-away coffee house placing emphasis on hand crafted coffee and teas. It also offers homemade pastries and Icelandic delicacies. If you are running late for your tour, or if you have overslept, you can easily grab a quick breakfast at Bau
ja before going out on the sea. Also: Iceland is usually not warm so it’s nice to grab something hot before or after going out on Faxaflói bay. We are two good friends from high school that decided to open up a café together, with the help of our close friends of course. We are all travelers so we speak a variety of languages and are happy to attempt even the ones we are not so fluent in. We are passionate about making good coffee & drinks and to offer satisfying snacks on the go. The view from Bauja is definitely one of the best in the city of Reykjavík, you can see the mountain range surrounding Reykjavík and the all of the colorful local boats, and of course, the sea. We recommend taking the time to visit us, try our coffee, tea, and if you are feeling peckish, then maybe something extra.
