Tenuta l'Impostino è situata nell'alta Maremma toscana, nella zona del Montecucco DOCG, a metà della strada Leopoldina tra Siena e Grosseto ,dove fin dal Medioevo, gli Imposti rappresentavano per i viandantii luoghi di sosta e ristoro, per il cambio del bestiame o per un pasto caldo e un bicchiere di vino. Uno di questi vecchi poderi, nei secoli divenuto un brullo pascolo, ha rubato il cuore di du

e amici lombardi, con i suoi poggi rivolti a sud ovest e la natura intatta che lo circonda. La convinzione che la terra e il clima dell’Alta Maremma rappresentassero un connubio di valore assoluto ha dato il via ad un’opera quinquennale di conversione dei vecchi pascoli e terreni seminativi in ordinati vigneti, e al progetto di ingabbiare in una bottiglia il carattere di questa terra forte e generosa, calda e a volte ruvida, che si concede poco alla volta solo a chi abbia la pazienza di fermarsi ad ascoltare i suoi silenzi e alla volontà di interpretare quelle che sono le caratteristiche uniche di questa zona. La nostra terra, il Montecucco DOCG: nuova stella nascente nel firmamento delle denominazioni toscane, tra le piu' giovani, grazie alla sua terra, alla sua esposizione, al suo clima produce uve di grandissima qualità. Nel 1998 gli viene riconosciuta la DOC e dopo pochissimo tempo nel 2011 la DOCG, riconoscimento dell'indiscussa qualità delle sue vigne, qui il Sangiovese riesce ad esprimersi al meglio.

The Maremma doesn’t seem so far removed from Hong Kong’s Dragon’s Back. The gently rising contours, grass that holds back the wind, the sea lingering in the background like a promise.

Ballo Angelico is our 100% Vermentino. It is grown among the vineyards overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, where the land meets the sea breeze.

On the nose, it evokes Mediterranean scrub flowers, light citrus notes, and a hint of iodine. On the palate, it is crisp and bright, with a mineral character that speaks of the Maremma without needing words.
