Restaurant Manager – VIVE Hakuba
Location: Echoland, Hakuba, Nagano
Period: Winter 2025 (Dec 5th – early Mar)
* Must arrive in Hakuba by Dec 5th
Open 7 days, Dinner service only.
VIVE Hakuba is a modern Japanese–Italian fine-dining restaurant offering a thoughtfully curated 14 course tasting menu in an intimate, 24-seat setting.
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our Front-of-House team for the winter season.
Responsibilities
Lead FOH with warmth, professionalism and attention to detail.
Manage service flow, guest experiences
Shift planning
Replenishing inventory and uniforms as needed
Oversee all public areas are clean, well-presented, and service-ready
Train FOH staff and coordinate seamless service and communication between FOH and Kitchen
Must have
Min 2 Years of Experience Managing a Restaurant (ideally fine dining)
Valid IDP (international drivers permit - Geneva)
English Fluency
Valid working permit
Must arrive in Hakuba by Dec 5th
Japanese or Italian language proficiency a plus

Benefits
From ¥1,800~ per hour (Negotiable based on experience)
30-40hrs/week
(can work more hours if preferred)
Staff accommodation available (near Goryu Ski Resort)
Free staff meals cooked by our head chef (best in town!)
1st Seating is from 5:30pm so you can ski during the day.
You will be leading an international team of 4 chefs and 4 FOH with 24 Seats/2 Seatings.
Uniform Shirt provided (you will need black slacks and black indoor shoes)
